Illustrated Hasedera Byōbu
Hasedera Temple
Edo Period (17th Century)
According to legend, in 721 AD, two Kannon statues were carved out of one sacred tree in Hatsuse (present-day Nara Prefecture). One was enshrined at the Hasedera temple in Nara, while the other was thrown into the ocean with a prayer for it to reappear and save people.
MIYABI 36 Years
Miyabi 36 Years Old Ryukyu Whisky is the epitome of Masahiro Distillery's exceptional craftsmanship over the last 140 years. Handpicked by the Master Blender, Mr. Arakaki Sunao, this exquisite whisky has matured for over three decades in sherry cask, making it the oldest Ryukyu whisky ever produced.
Miyabi 36 Years presents an aroma of dried tropical fruits, herbs, and perfume; leading to a sense of honey, brown sugar, and spice on the palate.
Remarkably smooth, with slight sweetness and notes of soft oak that develops into a long, clean finish. For the first and only time, this exclusive release consists of three unique pieces - each of which represents one part of the Hasadera Byobu - for a total of 285 bottles, or 95 sets in the collection.
The Miyabi Arts brand strives to conflate the beauty of Japanese art and culture with exclusive lifestyle products for collectors around the world. Our inspiration is drawn from relics within the extraordinary 'Hosomi Private Collection’.
