The Tale of Genji Scroll is vibrantly detailed and colorful.
Drawn in the style of ‘Tosa School’, it was a favorite of the Japanese imperial court in the early Edo period of the 17th century.

The Miyabi Arts brand strives to conflate the beauty of Japanese art and culture with exclusive lifestyle products for collectors around the world. Our inspiration is drawn from relics within the extraordinary 'Hosomi Private Collection'.
The Hosomi Private Collection consists of works collected by the late Osaka industrialist, Hosomi Ryo. Currently in its fourth generation, the collection includes virtually all branches of Japanese art, such as: Japanese antique art-works from the Heian to Edo periods; notable collections of Itō Jakuchuū, Rinpa Arts and a vast collection of ancient Byō- bu's; Muromachi ink paintings; Negoro lacquer ware and tea ceremony kettles; Buddhist statues from both Kamakura and Muromachi periods; Momoyama ceramics and cloisonne's.
The Hosomi Private Collection also holds notable master-piece artworks by Katsushika Hokusai; as well as over two dozen "Important Cultural Properties" recognized as National Treasures of Japan, making the Hosomi collection perhaps the most remarkable in the world of Japanese Antique Art.
